挥发性有机物（VOM）的测试方法为硅橡胶建议书备注16中提到的《硅胶消费品挥发性有机化合物的测定》，该方法由2003版修订为2022版，修订内容主要涉及试验参数、调理步骤及方法不确定度等。
其中与2003版测试方法相比最大的不同是2022版测试方法规定无论接触高温还是低温的食品，都统一采用固定的测试条件200℃ 4h。
提醒硅胶生产企业可针对性对产品生产工艺进行优化，可以选择提高硫化温度和时间，增加二次硫化步骤等方法，提高产品合格率。
